This week I decided, two years later, to purchase an iMac, a $1500 computer, largely with the intention of diving back into graphic design and running PS. I've been using a Macbook Air 2018, which did not have the processing power to run Photoshop. I used this software of my Macbook Pro 2011, which eventually died on me in 2018.

Apps are installed locally on your computer and your access files the same way you did in CS6.

Photoshop CS6 is 64-bit and should work on macOS Catalina.Īdobe’s Creative Suite was retired years ago and is not supported.

Illustrator CS6 is 64-bit, but I’ve read that it has 32-bit dependencies so I’m not sure if it work on macOS Catalina (I have not tested it myself).

InDesign CS6 is 32-bit so it will not work on macOS Catalina.

That means older 32-bit apps will no longer run.

MacOS Catalina (macOS 10.15) requires apps to be 64-bit.
